On the south side of the island is where the sandbar breaks open easier by the Pacific or the river.
The next photo from the Pacific shows the Soledad River has broken through the southern sandbar and flowing into the ocean. This is what makes the island when the other side or northern sandbar of the 50 acre property also breaks through.

The town of El Transitio is 6 kilometers north of Cabo Soledad.
Traveling south by boat we pass the cliffs of the Montecristo Beach development. Cabo Soledad is 1 mile south.
